Gender-Affirming Surgery

Dr. Ray has helped pioneer gender-affirming surgery in Los Angeles and serves as the Lead Plastic Surgeon in Southern California’s first comprehensive academic transgender surgery and health program.

MtF Chest

Breast augmentation and autologous reconstruction options. Dr. Ray was among the first to offer autologous breast reconstruction to transgender patients in Los Angeles.

FtM Chest

Gender-affirming mastectomies include a number of options such as keyhole, double incision and circumareolar approaches. Dr. Ray specializes in all of these procedures.

Genital Reconstruction

Dr. Ray works as part of the team that helped build and grow the first comprehensive genital reconstruction program in Southern California. Among the gender-affirming procedures he performs are sensate pedicled and free flap phallourethroplasty using radial forearm and/or thigh flaps.
